Keystones Energy Solutions was founded in 2015 with a clear vision: to make solar energy accessible, effective, and reliable for everyone on the Sunshine Coast.
What began as a small operation has grown into one of the most trusted solar installation companies in the region, with hundreds of successful installations across residential and commercial properties.
Our team has grown too, but we've maintained our commitment to personalized service and quality workmanship that sets us apart from larger, less attentive solar providers.
Leadership
Our founder and General Manager, Dan Walters, brings over 18 years of solar industry expertise to every project. His passion for renewable energy and sustainable living is the driving force behind our company's success.
Under Dan's leadership, our team has developed a reputation for technical excellence and customer-focused service. We don't just install solar systems; we build energy solutions tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances.
Dan personally oversees quality control for all installations, ensuring that every system we install meets our exacting standards for performance, reliability, and safety.
Accreditation and Licensing
Keystones Energy Solutions is a Clean Energy Council accredited installer and a licensed Queensland electrical contractor. Both matter more than they sound: federal STC rebates can only be claimed on a system designed and installed by a CEC-accredited installer, and any DC work on a solar array is licensed electrical work under Queensland law.
We do our own installations. Nothing is subcontracted to a roving crew, which means the person who quotes your system is accountable for how it is installed and who you speak to if something goes wrong five years from now.
Every installation carries a 10-year workmanship warranty from us, on top of the manufacturer warranties on your panels, inverter and battery.

We are not tied to a single supplier, which means we can specify what actually suits your roof, your usage and your budget rather than what we have in a container.

Off-grid is a genuine specialty rather than a sideline — Dan has been designing standalone power systems for rural and remote Queensland properties for most of his 18 years in the industry.

We are based at Cooroibah, just north of Noosa, and install across the Sunshine Coast, the hinterland and the Gympie region — roughly 80 km in any direction from the workshop. Being genuinely local to the northern end of the coast means same-day response for Noosa, Tewantin and Cooroy, and scheduled visits further south.
